Ship symbols
When ECDIS does not receive any course and speed information the Dead Reckoning mode is
deactivated and the Simulation mode can be used to plot the position of the ship.
ECDIS automatically switches back to the GPS mode when communications with the GPS are
restored.

SHIP SYMBOLS
The ship’s symbol is displayed either with a scaled icon or with ECDIS symbol.
The length of the vector is six minutes and each circle indicates one minute.
The GPS antenna is located at the lines cross.
When a second GPS is connected, it is possible to select which GPS is the master. Then the
ship’s icon is displayed at the Master GPS position. The second position given by the other
GPS is displayed on the chart using a small cross.

To view or amend ship’s properties, either
Click on the Ship properties icon on the toolbar .
Or click right on the ship’s icon and select Properties from the pop-up menu.
Or locate the cursor and top of the ship and press F4 twice.
