Delete permit
PERMITS AND CHART VERSION
When a chart is reissued (Old version is replaced by a newest one, stored in general on the
chart update CD) a new permits file is sent on board. This file contains the complete list of
permits purchased by the user and must be installed. The old permits are removed and
replaced by the new ones.
ATTENTION
A permit is valid for a specific version of the chart:
• If the chart is too old for the permit, the user is informed and the new edition of the chart
has to be installed.
• If the permit is too old for the chart, the chart cannot be installed and updated and a new
permit has to be ordered.
REMARK
When the permit of one expires the chart is still usable in ECDIS but cannot be updated and
therefore cannot be used in Type Approved ECDIS mode.
DELETE PERMIT
Permit Status is set as not found. (example IN3222QK after permit deletion)
Chart is not deleted, but it is not usable.
GET USER PERMIT
Press button Get User Permit to display or save User permit.
GET SA CERTIFICATE
Certificate need to be installed.
Press button SA certificate - either to install, either to display SA certificate.
