GPS failure
SENSORS ALARMS
GPS FAILURE
No settings.
If the only one
If GPS1 and GPS 2 are active,
GPS1 is lost : alarm “Lost gps sensor Switch to GPS2”
GPS2 is lost : alarm “GPS D.R. alarm”
Indicator GPS switched to D.R.
POSITION MONITORING ALARM
If Position values given by the 2 different active GPS source are different, alarm is generated if
difference is more than threshold (100m by default)defined in TCS Options.
HEADING ALARMS
If Gyro1 and Gyro2 are active,
Gyro1 is lost : alarm “master GYRO changed alarm” is generated.
Gyro2 is lost : alarm “Heading Alarm” is generated.
HEADING MONITORING ALARM
If Heading values given by the 2 different active Gyro source are different, alarm is generated
if difference is more than threshold (20degres by default) defined in TCS Options.
STW ALARM
When STW data are lost, “STW alarm” is generated.
ROUTE ALARMS
XTD OUT OF LIMITS

ETTINGS
To get a warning when the XTD exceeds the limit, toggle the XTD ON located in the
Al ar ms
tab
from the Ship Properties or in the
Route
tab from the Option dialogue.
The XTD limit for each leg can be adjusted either in the
Waypoi nt propert i es
dialogue or in the
Route plan
window.
After acknowledgement, the message XTD out limits will remain displayed for as long as the
XTD exceeds the XTD limit value defined in the system or until the route is deactivated.
COURSE CHANGE ALARM
The alarm message is generated when the ship is arriving to the active Waypoint of activated
route.
