Ship profile management
CREATING A SHIP’S PROFILE
Each profile is defined by the ship’s name.
To create manually a new profile:
• Enter in the ship’s parameters dialogue, panel General all information related to the ship:
Name
Call sign
Draught…
• In the panel Alarm select the appropriate Alarm settings.
• In the panel Display select the way the ship will be displayed.
• In the panel Shape define the GPS antenna and radar antenna position, the shape and
colour of the ship.
• In the Chart Setting dialogue, panel Technical enter the values for the safety parameters.
When a new ship’s name is entered in the system, ECDIS900 creates automatically a new
record with is accessible by ship’s name.
It is possible to create automatically a new profile from AIS target data when ECDIS900 is
interfaced with AIS transponder. Right click on the AIS icon and select the item menu Save in
the ship library.
