Optimization settings
In the example the calculated route will never cross areas with waves higher than 6 meters.
Be aware that, in some weather situations, the VDS is not able to calculate a route within the
waves constrains. In this case the VDS will advise the user to change the constrains values or
to change ETA or the speed settings to avoid bad weather.
SAFETY CONTOUR AND USER DEFINED NO GO AREAS
When this option is activated the calculated route will never cross the safety contour defined
on ENC charts and will never cross NO GO areas the user has plotted manually on the chart.
For a safe calculation it is essential to enter the correct safety contour value in the “Chart
Depths” panel of the “S57 settings” dialogue.
IMPORTANT: in order to take the benefit of the safety contour function it is required to
install the ENC or AVCS charts along the route
