Zooming
ZOOM IN FROM CHART
Locate the cursor anywhere on the chart. Click and drag the cursor in any direction, drawing a
rectangle. Release the button and the chart will be re-drawn with the area inside the
rectangle filling the screen.
CHANGE THE SCALE
•
within the chart and a pop-up menu will
appear.
• Select the item Scale and a list box will
appear with a list of scales. (The current scale
is indicated with a check mark).
• Click on the desired scale. The chart will now
be re-drawn to the chosen scale, which will
also be displayed in the static information
console.
ZOOM IN / ZOOM OUT
Use the tool Zoom In or Zoom out to change the scale of the chart. Alternatively use the hot
key F1 or F2.
USAGE
Each chart is allocated to a navigational purpose, depending on its scale.
During production, official ENCs are assigned a compilation scale based upon the nature of
the source data they are based on, and are allocated to a navigational purpose band related
to this.
