10.7.5 Set Trigger for CPAP, PSV, PTV & SIMV
The Set Trigger
button (AA)
activates the
breath detection
threshold in the
flow waveform
window.
10.7.6 Pressure Support in PSV
The Pressure Support
panel allows the user
to set the Stop
Support when patient
flow reduces to
percentage
(Termination
Sensitivity).
The panel allows the user to increase or decrease
the percentage value via the arrow buttons.
The Return button returns the user to the
current mode panel.
10.7.7 Pressure Support in SIMV
The Pressure Support
panel allows the user
to set the Provide
Support at percentage
of
P (=Delta), and
the Stop Support
when patient flow
reduces to percentage
(Termination
Sensitivity) of the
SIMV breath.
The panel allows the user to increase or decrease
the percentage values via the arrow buttons.
The Return button returns the user to the
current mode panel.
10.7.8 HFO Activity (SLE5000 Only)
The HFO Activity
panel allows the user
to toggle between
oscillations in both
inspiratory and
expiratory phases of
the CMV waveform or
just the expiratory
phase.
The Return button returns the user to the
current mode panel.
Note: The breath detection threshold can still
be activated through the alarm panel. See
“Alarm and Breath Detection Thresholds” on
page 47
Note: When the ventilator is being used
without a flow sensor in CPAP mode, setting
the breath detection threshold will only
update the “Trigger” value in the
measurement panel.
Note: When the ventilator is being used
without a flow sensor the user can no longer
set the termination sensitivity as this is a flow
dependant parameter.
Note: When the ventilator is being used
without a flow sensor, the termination
sensitivity leak compensation is disabled.
