12.6 Extended storage
If the user is intending to store the ventilator for a
period greater than 40 days and is unable to charge
the batteries during this time as recommended in
the “Warnings” on page 24 then the following
procedure is recommended. (Refer the ventilator to
a qualified technician).
1. Charge the batteries for 24 hours.
2. Remove the five fixing screws (A) indicated from
the rear cover.
12.6.1 Screw cap fuse holder
1. Open the side flap and slide the rear cover
towards the rear of the machine to expose the
battery fuse holder on the left hand side of the
machine (when viewed from the rear).
2. Unscrew the fuse holder cap and withdraw the
cap which will contain the 10 Amp fuse.
3. Place the fuse in the storage clip and replace the
cap into the fuse holder.
4. Re-fit the outer cover.
5. Label the machine as having the batteries
disconnected.
12.6.2 Drawer type fuse holder
1. Pull out the fuse drawer.
2. Remove the fuse from
the rear compartment to
disconnect the batteries.
3.Place the fuse in the
front compartment, to store
the fuse.
4. Close the fuse drawer.
5. Re-fit the outer cover.
6. Label the machine as
having the batteries
disconnected.
Note: On model G ventilators there are two
type of fuse holder, screw cap and drawer
type.
