Step 4. Connect the Patient Circuit and Bacterial
Filters to the Ventilator
Connect the flow sensor cable to the sensor but do
not fit it into the patient circuit at this stage (D).
Connect the SLE approved patient circuit as shown
in the diagram above (E). Ensure the ET manifold is
occluded.
Setup the humidifier as per the manufacturer’s
instructions.
Step 5. Ventilator Setup Complete
If the ventilator is going to be used on a patient, the
user must carry out the Setup routine as described
in chapter ’13. Pre-use test’ on page 64.
