2.2 Response Point Software Installation
This section contains details on how to install the Microsoft
®
Response Point™
phone system software supported by Microsoft
®
Windows
®
XP and Microsoft
®
Windows Vista
®
, and how to configure the IP Phone 310s.
Two types of installation are provided by Response Point software—Adminis-
trator and Assistant.
• The Administrator is a Windows front end application to configure and uti-
lize the DOS-A50’s many features from the administrator’s computer.
• The Assistant provides access to personal settings from users computers.
2.2.1 System Requirements
Microsoft Response Point Administrator requires:
• Microsoft Windows XP Professional or Home Edition, with Service Pack 2
(SP2, 32-bit or 64-bit) and with the latest security updates
• Microsoft Windows Vista (32-bit or 64-bit) with the latest security updates
• Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 (32-bit or 64-bit)
• Small Business Server 2003 R2 (32-bit or 64-bit)
