3.12.2 Using the Automated Receptionist Plan
The Automated Receptionist Plan uses the Response Point Administrator-gen-
erated voice (the Automated Receptionist) to answer calls and transfer them to
other users as requested. Automated Receptionist is the default Call Routing
Plan.
The Automated Receptionist greeting consists of two parts:
Welcome Greeting—the opening sentence heard by callers can take any form,
but should conform to the guidelines set out in Tips for Recording Greetings
and Prompts on page 127.
Prompt—the prompt plays directly after the welcome greeting and directs call-
ers to say the name of the person or group they would like to talk to.
To configure the Welcome greeting and opening prompt, perform the follow-
ing steps:
1. Go to Start´ All Programs´ Microsoft Response Point Administrator
to launch Microsoft Response Point Administrator.
2. Log in as described in Logging on to Response Point Administrator on
page 33.
3. Click the Call Routing tab.
