3.11 The Base Unit Tab
The Base Unit tab provides access to Status information, various tasks such as
changing the system password, configuring the E-mail server, and backing up
and restoring voicemail and configuration settings. There is also a brief sum-
mary panel showing DOS-A50 status, remaining storage space, and Proper-
ties.
The summary screen is the default view in the Base Unit tab and shows at a
glance any system issues that need attention.
The summary screen is broken down into three main areas.

1. Status Displays Connection state, Voicemail stor-
age space, Total storage space, and any
outstanding Event log entries.
2. Storage space
used
Displays a breakdown of Storage space
used.
3. Properties Displays general system information, such
as IP and MAC address, DOS-A50 soft-
ware and hardware versions, and E-mail
server information.
