10.After adjusting the intake and exhaust valve
clearances of the No.1 cylinder, turn the alternator
rotor clockwise by increments of 180° and bring the
piston of each cylinder at the top dead center of its
compression stroke.
Repeat the procedure from step 4 through step 9.
• Do not turn the alternator rotor counterclockwise.
• Perform this check on each cylinder with its piston at
top dead center of its compression stroke.
11.Install the following:
– Alternator cover (page 7-5)
– Cylinder head cover (page 14-16)
– Under cover rear bracket (page 6-15)
– L./R. engine under cover (page 6-5)
– Engine cover
