2.Parkmachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingdeck,shutofftheengine,
settheparkingbrake,andremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
Note:Ensurethatyoucleanallthehydraulicconnectionsthatare
disconnectedfordraining.
3.Drainthehydraulicuidfromthehydraulictankandtransmission.
4.Drainthecompletehydraulicsystem.Drainallthehoses,tubes,and
componentswhilethesystemiswarm.
5.Removeandreplacethehydraulic-uidlter.
6.Inspectandcleanthehydraulic-uidtank;refertoInspectingtheHydraulic
Tank(page4–77).
7.Connectallthehydraulichoses,tubes,andcomponentsthatwere
disconnectedwhiledrainingthesystem;refertoInstallingtheHydraulicHose
andTube(O-RingFaceSealFitting)(page4–8).
IMPORTANT
Usingotherhydraulicuidscoulddamagethehydraulicsystem.
UsethehydraulicuidsthatarespeciedintheOperator’sManual.
UseofbiodegradablehydraulicuidintheGroundsmaster360
machinesisnotrecommended.
8.Fillthehydraulictankwiththecorrectquantityofnewhydraulicuid.
9.Primethehydraulicpumps;refertoPrimingtheHydraulicPumps(page
4–69).
10.Starttheengineandoperateitatlow-idlespeed(1,400rpm)foraminimum
of2minutes.Increasetheenginespeedtohighidle(3,000rpm)fora
minimumof1minuteundernoload.
11.Raiseandlowerthecuttingdeckseveraltimes.
12.Shutofftheengineandcheckforhydraulic-uidleaks.

quantityofuidifnecessary;refertotheOperator’sManual.
13.Operatethemachinefor2hoursundernormaloperatingconditions.
14.Checktheconditionofhydraulicuid.Ifnewuidshowsanysignsof
contamination,repeatsteps1through13againuntiltheuidisclean.
15.Whenthehydraulicuidisfreefromcontamination,assumenormaloperation
andfollowtherecommendedmaintenanceintervals.
