(item15inFigure262)andwheelmotorshaft.Ensurethatthetapers
arefreeofgrease,oil,rust,anddirt.Donotuseanti-seizelubricant,
whenyouinstallthewheelhub.
7.Mountthesquarekeyinthewheelmotorshaft,andtheninstallthewheel
hub(item15inFigure262)ontothewheelmotorshaft.
IMPORTANT
Donotusethelocknutpreviouslyremovedtoattachthewheelhub
tothewheelmotor.
8.Installnewlocknut(item11inFigure262)ontothewheelmotorshaftto
securethewheelhubtothemotorshaft.
9.Installthebrakedrum(item12inFigure262).
10.Positiontheendofthebrakecabletothebrakeactuatorlever(item9in
Figure263).Attachthecabletothebrakeactuatorleverwiththeclevispin
andbrakereturnspring.
11.Installtherearwheelassembly;refertoInstallingtheWheel(page6–14).
12.Checkandadjustthebrakes;refertoAdjustingtheBrake(page6–6).
13.Lowerthemachinetotheground.
WARNING
Failuretomaintainpropertorquecouldresultinfailureorlossof
wheelandmayresultinpersonalinjury.
Maintainthepropertorqueofthewheel-lugnuts.
14.Torquethenewwheelhublocknut(item11inFigure262)thatsecuresthe
wheelhubto407to542N∙m(300to400ft-lb).
CAUTION
Afterservicingthebrakes,alwayscheckthebrakesforproper
operationinawideopen,levelareathatisfreeofotherpersons
andobstructions.
