Accessing the suction pinch valve requires removing the irrigation pump
bezel. The following procedures describe how to remove and re-install the
irrigation pump bezel and the suction pinch valve.
Tools Needed
You will need a Phillips head screwdriver.
Remove the Irrigation Pump Bezel

Turn off the AC Main Switch, located on the rear panel.
Unplug the power cord connector from the wall receptacle.
Open the irrigation pump latch halfway so that the latch lever stands
at the 12 o'clock position.
Four ball-end retainers hold the irrigation pump bezel in place.
Remove the pump bezel by pulling it straight forward. Refer to
Figure 11-27.
Remove the Suction Pinch Valve

Remove the console rear and left covers.
Disconnect the suction pinch valve from the ultrasonics PCB (J18).
Remove the two screws (M4 Phillips) that hold the pinch valve onto
the pinch valve collar.
Remove the pinch valve electrical leads from the cable restraints.
Remove the pinch valve by pulling it forward. Refer to Figure 11-28.
Note: Ensure that the electrical leads are free to move.
