5.12.2 Preparation for Using the Debugger
GDB has automatically been installed on your PC when installing the
toolchain.
When delivered, the GDB server is already on the Linux fieldbus controller
and can be called directly.
In order to use the graphical front end DDD on the PC, it must be installed
over the distribution that is used. With the S.U.S.E Linux distribution, this is
completed as follows:
1. Click on the program “Control center” and select
“Yast2 Module”

2. A search window opens. Enter DDD and press the Enter key.
3. If the search result shows the DDD application, install it. If the DDD is
not in the distribution, it can be downloaded at:
www.gnu.org/software/ddd/.
