DC BATTERY REPLACEMENT
DC Baery Replacement
Wallace Perimeter Security provides a one-year warranty from the date of shipment for all the baeries
supplied with the Kinec operator.
Indicators of a low baery include:
• LOW BATTERY or DEAD BATTERY appears on the SmartDC Controller display which may or may not
be indicave of normal discharge.
• Alert 18 CHANGE BATTERY appears on the SmartDC Controller display. The operator emits an
audible chirp every minute to indicate a problem exists.
• AP (#) AC LOSS appears on the SmartDC Controller display. Gate operaon is aected by AC power
loss depending on customer preferences and the conguraon set by the installer in the AP (#) AC
LOSS User Menu.

Symptoms of a low baery may include:
• Gate remains locked in the open posion.
• Gate remains locked in the closed posion.
• Gate opens ve seconds aer AC power loss and locks open.
Before replacing the baeries, turn
o all power switches. Use only
AGM baeries as Replacements 8Ah
- MX002008, 50Ah - MX002013).
The baeries supplied in the Kinec
operator are state-of-the-art AGM
baeries. Do NOT use ooded cell
baeries as damage may occur to
the unit. Wear protecve clothing
while working with baeries.
