2.4 SCR Operation with Turbocharger Bypass (Tier III)
During SCR operation with low engine load (and low exhaust gas temperature), the
valve V4 can be operated to increase the temperature upstream of the SCR reactor,
see Fig. 6.
The full exhaust gas mass flow goes through the SCR reactor. Thus, valve V3 is fully
closed while valves V1 and V2 are fully open.
The remaining valves stay closed.
