1. General
The Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system is an option that can be fully
bypassed and de-energized. This has no effect on the Tier II mode without SCR
operation.
If necessary, the the SCR system can be isolated with covers installed. For more
data, refer to paragraph 2.7.
The SCR system does not decrease engine performance. For more data, refer to
Failure Modes and Effects Analysis of the SCR system.
