2.7 Install Covers / Disassemble SCR System

For maintenance or when the SCR system becomes defective, you can install
cover (2, Fig. 9) and cover (3). Do the procedure that follows:
1) Stop the engine.
2) Remove the pipe to the SCR system (see also Fig. 1).
3) Install the cover (2, tool 94820)
4) Remove the pipe from to the SCR system (see also Fig. 1).
5) Install the cover (3, tool 94820)
Note: When this procedure is completed, you can operate the engine only in
Tier II mode (no SCR operation).
If it is necessary to disassemble and remove the SCR system, do as follows:
1) Stop the engine.
2) Remove the valves V1 (1, Fig. 9) and V2 (4) (refer to the Maintenance Manual).
3) Install the covers in the positions of the valves V1 (1) and V2 (4).
4) Replace the pipe between the exhaust manifold and the turbocharger.
Note: When this procedure is completed, you can operate the engine only in
Tier II mode (no SCR operation).
