7. Cylinder Liner and
Water Guide Jacket −
Installation
1) Install the insulation bandage, refer to
paragraph 6.
1) Attach the two flanges (2, Fig. 7) (part
of lifting tool 94201) to the cylinder
liner (1) with the five screws (5).
2) Use the engine room crane to lower the
lifting tool 94201 on to the cylinder
liner (1).
3) Apply copper paste to the threads of
the screws (3).
4) Torque the screws (3) to 230 Nm.
5) Operate the engine room crane to lift
the cylinder liner.
6) Clean the seating surface on the
cylinder liner and cylinder block.
7) Apply a non−hardening sealing
compound (eg Hylomar Universal Blue)
to the cylinder block.
8) Apply oil to all new O−rings.
9) Put all new O−rings in position.
10) Operate the engine room crane to lift
and move the cylinder liner into position
above the engine.
11) Lower the cylinder liner into the cylinder
block. Make sure that the pin (4)
engages the hole in the holder.
12) Attach the holder and pin (4) to the
cylinder block with the two M16x70
bolts.
13) Remove the screws (3) and flanges (2).
14) Operate the engine room crane to lift
and move the tool (94201) to an
applicable area.
15) Remove the tool (94201) from the
engine room crane.
16) Attach the engine room crane to the
chain (94205A) on the lifting tool
(94205, Fig. 8).
17) Attach the chain blocks (94016−003) to
the eye bolts (94045−10) and shackles
(94015H) on the the lifting tool (94205).
18) Operate the engine room crane to lift
the water guide jacket (1).
19) Lower the water guide jacket (1) on to
the cylinder liner (2).
20) Attach the water guide jacket to the
cylinder liner with the three M12x70
bolts (3).
