• At the staple preparation operation at initialization, the Staple Ready Sensor does not go
to ready (L) status after 13 ready attempts.
• The Stapler Ready Sensor is turned off (H) just before the Staple.

Error signal On and Ready signal On output from the Staple were detected after Booklet Sta-
pling operation.
Procedure
Check continuity between the Booklet PWB and Finisher PWB (Figure 1). The continuity
check is OK.

Repair the open circuit or short circuit.
Replace the Staple (PL 21.16). The problem is resolved.

Replace the Booklet PWB (PL 21.12). If the problem continues, replace the Finisher PWB
(PL 21.12).
