REMOVING THE REAR WHEEL
1. Remove:
• exhaust pipe assembly
2. Loosen:
• rear axle nut
NOTE:
When the axle nut is loosened, apply rear
brake.
3. Remove:
• rear wheel
4. Remove:
• rear brake cable
• brake shoes
• plain washer

CHECKING THE REAR WHEEL
1. Inspect:
• wheel

section
2. Measure:
• wheel runout
See “CHECKING THE FRONT WHEEL”
section
3. Check:
• wheel bearings
See “CHECKING THE FRONT WHEEL”
section
4. Inspect:
brake shoes Crystallisation

Polish with
sand paper.
NOTE:
After using sand paper, clean the polished par-
ticles with a cloth.
Rim runout limits
Vertical: 1.0 mm
Lateral: 1.0 mm
