Step 5: execute the exposure
In the operator room:
Press the exposure button to execute the exposure.
Make sure the generator is ready for exposure before you
press the exposure button.
WARNING:
During exposure ionizing radiation is emitted by the X-ray
system. To indicate the presence of ionizing radiation, the
radiation indicator on the control console lights up.
WARNING:
Do not select another thumbnail until the preview image is
visible in the active thumbnail.
In the operator room at the NX workstation:
• The image is acquired from the DR detector and displayed in the
thumbnail.
• The actual X-Ray exposure parameters are sent back from the
generator to the NX workstation and are shown in the Image Detail
pane.
• If collimation is applied, the image is automatically cropped at the
collimation borders.
