Syntax fdb-mac ieee-address [expiry]
Context show>service
Description This command displays the FDB entry for a given MAC address.
Parameters ieee-address — The 48-bit MAC address for which to display the FDB entry in the form
aa:bb:cc:dd:ee:ff or aa-bb-cc-dd-ee-ff where aa, bb, cc, dd, ee and ff are hexadecimal numbers.
expiry — Shows the time until the MAC is aged out.
Output Show FDB-MAC Command Output — The following table describes the show FDB MAC com-
mand output fields:

Label Description
Service ID
The service ID number.
MAC
The specified MAC address
Source-Identifier
The location where the MAC is defined.
Type/Age
Static — FDB entries created by management.
Learned — Dynamic entries created by the learning process.
OAM — Entries created by the OAM process.
H — Host, the entry added by the system for a static configured sub-
scriber host.
D or DHCP — DHCP-installed MAC. Learned addresses can be
temporarily frozen by the DHCP snooping application for the duration
of a DHCP lease.
P — Indicates the MAC is protected by the MAC protection feature.
