The drawing in Figure 47 indicates an application where different circuits are aggregated in the
VPLS-based network.The access side is represented by an explicit do1q encapsulated SAP. As the
VLAN-id is port specific, those connected to different ports might have the same VLAN. The
aggregation side (the right side Figure 47) is aggregated on the same port, and hence, unique a
VLAN-id is required.
