Test the Example Application
In order to test the application you have to go online with the Logix5550
controller and create a tag for the buffer to receive the message.
Perform the following steps:
1. Open the RSLogix5000 software.
2. From the File menu, select New. The New Controller window will
appear.
3. Enter an appropriate Name for the Controller, e.g.,
“Logix5550_from_PLC5”.
4. Select the correct Chassis Type and Slot Number of the Logix5550
controller, and the folder where you want to save the file (Create In).
Then click on OK.
