7.8 Installing the Light Source
How to prepare the new Light source assembly
1. Mount the driver cables onto the Light Source LDM interconnection board (reference 1, Image 7-16). Make
sure the cables marked “Blue 1”, “Blue 2” and “Blue 3” are mounted in the connector with the same name.

2. Install the Controller assembly. See “Mounting of the Controller assembly”, page 66.
3. Tie together the LDM driver cables and other data cables with the light source tubing. Do this to make sure
none of the cables get crushed or go missing when sliding in the light source.
Tip: Use tie binders or tape that can be easily removed after the light source has been mounted. Do
not make it too difficult for yourself to release the cable trees after the light source has been mounted.
