6.4.5.19 Operation 66. Greasing of brackets of the front axle extensible knuckles
Note – The operation she be performed only on tractors BELARUS-80.1. If using
grease MS-1000 TU 0254-003-45540231-99, the operation should be carried out every
2000 hours of tractor operation.
Before greasing the brackets of extensible knuckles of front axle, put the tractor on
a flat horizontal platform. The engine shall be stopped. Engage the parking brake and lock
the rear wheels against spontaneous movement with wheel chocks at the front and back.
1, 7 – nuts; 2 – bolts; 3 – extensible knuckle; 4 – pin; 5 – front axle body; 6 – hy-
draulic cylinder (not installed on tractors with HPS); 8 – steering link (with installed HPS or
HSC with HPS body, two steering links are mounted).

Greasing of brackets of extensible knuckles of front axle with the HSC installed
shall be done as follows:
- raise the front axle until the wheel lift off the ground and set a support under the
front axle;
- remove the wheels;
- unscrew nuts 1 to remove the steering link 8 (Figure 6.4.61);
- detach hydraulic cylinder 6 of steering control from the swivel lever by unscrewing
nut 7;
- release two bolts 2 and remove pin 4. Repeat the operation on the other side;
- take knuckles 3 from both sides out of body 5 of the front axle;
