Secure sh ift actua tor harne ss wit h tie st rap,
P/N 317893.
Route ESM power sup ply harness beh ind trim
relay harness. Route negative (– ) terminal to bat-
tery ground stud and positive (+) terminal to sole-
noid.
Install ESM gro und, st ar wash er, ba ttery cable,
and nut on main ground stud. Tighten to a torque
of 60 to 84 in. lbs. (7 to 9.5 N·m).
Install cop per crush washer over ESM positive
ring termina l. T hen, install star washer , battery
cable, and nut. Tighten nut to a torque of 60 to 84
in. lbs (7 to 9.5 N·m).
Connect ESM ha rness to eng ine harness key
switch and trim/tilt connectors.
Secure connectors in bracket as shown and install
connector cover.
