STEP 3 Click Apply. The SNMP Engine ID is defined, and the device is updated.
Defining SNMP Views
SNMP Views provide access or block access to device features or feature 
aspects. For example, a view displays that the SNMP Group A has Read Only (R/
O) access to Multicast groups, while SNMP Group B has Read-Write (R/W) access 
to Multicast groups. Feature access is granted via the MIB name, or MIB Object ID.
To define SNMP views:
STEP 1 Click Monitor & Device Properties > SNMP > Security > Views. The

 contains the following fields: 
• View Name — Displays the user-defined views. The options are as follows:

Default
 — Displays the default SNMP view for read and read/write 
views.

DefaultSuper
 — Displays the default SNMP view for administrator 
views.
