How to Program
Note:
For the best adaptation of the frequ ency
converter, run AMA on a cold m otor.
AMA cannot be performed while the
motor is running.
AMA cannot be performed on p erm anent
magnet motors.
NOTE
It i s important to set motor par. 1- 2*
Motor D ata correctly, since these form
part of the AMA algorithm. An AMA
must be perfor med to achieve optimum dynamic
motor performan ce. It may take up to 10 min,
depending on the power rating of the motor.
NOTE
Avoid gene rating external torque
during AMA.
NOTE
If one of the settings in par. 1-2* Motor
Data is changed, par. 1-30 to 1-39,
the advanced m otor parameters, will
return to default setting. This parameter cannot
be adjusted while the m otor is running.
" 1-3* Adv. Motor Data
Parameters for advanced motor data. The motor
data in par. 1-30 - par. 1-3 9 must m atch the
relevant motor in order to run the motor optimally
.
The default settings are figures based on common
motor parameter values from normal st andard
motors. If the motor parameters are not se
t
correctly, a malfunction of the drive system may
occur. If the motor data is not known, running an
AMA (Automatic Motor Adaptation) is r
ecommended.
See the Automatic Motor A dap tation section. The
AMA sequence will adjust all motor parameters
except the moment of inertia of t
he rotor and
the iron loss resistance (par. 1-36).
Parameters 1-3* and 1-4* cannot be adjusted
while the motor is running.

1-30 Stator Resistance (Rs)
Option:

Function:
Set the stat or resistance value. Enter the value
from a motor data sheet or perform an AM A
on a c old motor. This parameter cannot be
adjusted while the m otor is running.
1-31 Rotor Resistance (Rr)

will improve shaft performance.
Set the rotor resistance value using one
of these methods:
1. Run an AMA on a cold motor. The adjustable
frequency drive will measure the value from the
motor. All compensations are reset to 100%.
2. Enter the R
r
value m anually. Obtain the
value from the m o tor s upplier.
3. Use the R
r
default setting. The adjustable
frequency drive establishes the setting on the
basis of the m otor nameplate d ata.
This parameter cannot be adjusted while
the motor is running.
