3-7 Harmonic Interference Prevention
Connection of AC Reactor
In order to suppress rapid changes in current and high-order harmonic current, AC reactors are required.
While suppressing the high-order harmonic current, it also improves the power factor of the drive input
side.
For the following situation, connect an AC reactor to the input side (primary side).
⚫ When you need to suppress the high-order harmonic current or improve power factor at the power
side.
⚫ When you need to switch the phase advance capacitors.
⚫ When you connect the drive to a larger capacity power transformer (600 kVA and above).
