Output Connections for Stereo
Mode
Output connections for Stereo Mode include
Main and Alternate Speaker connections and
Headphones.
Main and Alternate Speaker
Connections
Connect your main (primary) control room
monitor/amp to the Control 24 Control Room
Output Left and Right outputs on the Speaker
Out Connections 25-pin D-Sub harness (break-
out cables 1 & 2). The level to these speakers is
adjusted with the MAIN MONITOR LEVEL con-
trol.
Connect your secondary reference moni-
tors/amp (if any) to the Control 24 Control
Room Output, ALT Left and Right outputs on
the Speaker Out Connections 25-pin D-Sub har-
ness (breakout cables 7 & 8). The level to these
speakers is adjusted with the ALT MONITOR
control.
The Communication/Headphones section also
provides level controls and basic monitor rout-
ing controls for Headphone, Aux, Listen Mic
and Talkback Mic levels.
Headphones
Control 24 provides a stereo headphone jack in
the Control room Monitor section. A discrete
feed of the main stereo Control 24 mix, the
Headphone output does not follow Control
Room Mono, Mute or Dim functions.
Footswitch
The SW 1 and SW 2 jacks can be assigned to any
of three available Footswitch functions:
Play/stop
Record (punch in/out)
Remote Talkback on/off
Polarity is selectable for these switch ports, en-
abling you to use virtually any momentary foot-
switch to control these functions.
The Line Submixer Section
Control 24’s built-in submixer consists of eight
stereo input channels. Each channel is individu-
ally adjustable with its respective Input Gain
control, and all channels are governed by the
Submixer Master control.
This submixer can serve a variety of purposes.
Submixing returns from MDMs, routing synthe-
sizers, samplers, or drum machines, or returning
additional auxiliary busses are just a few exam-
ples of ways that this simple mixer can be used.
You can also use this high-quality submixer to
bring multiple channels down to stereo, to be
routed into a pair of Pro Tools audio interface
inputs.
