Slate Output Connection
When TALKBACK is pressed, the 1/4” Slate Out
output sends the signal from Control 24 to your
external Slate Input. Typically, the Slate channel
is used to log takes, make time or date stamps, or
otherwise add audio markers without affecting
any of the other tracks. The Slate Out output is
only active while TALKBACK is pressed.
Stereo Output Connections
Headphones
Control 24 provides a stereo headphone jack on
the front panel. A discrete feed of the main ste-
reo Control 24 mix, headphone level is set from
the Headphone knob in the Control Room sec-
tion.
■ For cue/headphone system monitoring, use
the HEADPHONE button to select, and HEAD-
PHONE LEVEL knob to adjust levels.
Headphone output follows Control Room Mon-
itor mix, but not control room MONO, MUTE or
DIM functions.
Main Speaker Connections
Connect your main (primary) control room
monitor/amp to the Control 24 CONTROL
ROOM OUT left/right outputs as described in
“Basic Monitoring Connections (2-In & 2-Out)”
on page 14. These speakers will now be under
the control of the MAIN MONITOR LEVEL
knob.
Alternate Speaker Connections
Connect your secondary reference moni-
tors/amp (if any) to the CONTROL ROOM ALT
OUT left/right outputs on the same breakout ca-
ble as the main outputs in the preceding de-
scription. This set of speakers is selected and ad-
justed using the Control 24 ALT MONITOR
level control and its associated MONITOR
LEVEL button.
