ESC/CANCEL Buttons
To enhance work flow, there are two ESC/CAN-
CEL buttons on the Control 24 surface. The first
ESC/CANCEL button is located to the immedi-
ate right of the master ASSIGN button in the AS-
SIGN section of the Channel Bar. The second
ESC/CANCEL button is located above the
SCRUB/SHUTTLE buttons in the master section.
When an action has occurred that can be can-
celed by the ESC/CANCEL button, its LED will
flash to alert you that the operation can be ex-
ited. Pressing ESC/CANCEL will then revert
Pro Tools to its immediately previous state.
SHOW VALUES and SHOW
CHANNEL NAMES Buttons
The global SHOW VALUES button, located on
the left side of the Control 24 unit (at the level
of the scribble strips), displays by default the
fader levels for each channel on its scribble strip.
Track panning information will show tempo-
rarily and time-out back to track volume.
In the Inserts View mode, SHOW VALUES is dis-
abled.
In the Parameters View mode, SHOW VALUES
will show values for the plug-in parameters.
Track volume values will only show temporarily
before reverting back to parameter values.
In the Pan/Send mode, SHOW VALUES will
show the Send Level and Pan for the sends, and
Pan value for the track.
If you press ASSIGN while in the Show Values
mode, the displays will return to default mode.
Pressing INPUT or OUTPUT will enter either of
those assign modes.
If you press INPUT or OUTPUT while in the
Show Values mode, the values will temporarily
be displaced by the input and output routing in-
formation.
When in the View Sends and Flip modes simul-
taneously, SHOW VALUES will show the send
level on any tracks that have sends.
SHOW CHANNEL NAMES will display each
track name on its respective scribble strip, for as
long as the button is held, when you are editing
or adjusting parameters that cause the scribble
strips to display anything other than the track
name.
The Numeric Keypad
The Numeric Keypad mimics keypad operation
in Pro Tools and is used for memory location
store and recall, data entry of counter values or
numerics, for completing an editing operation
(using the ENTER key), and for Pro Tools Trans-
port and Shuttle modes.
