7.11.1 Explanations for sensor positioning
As a general rule, the installation recommendations of the respective case or evaporator manufacturer must be
observed when positioning the sensors.
The evaporator inlet or outlet sensor (1) should be mounted on the top of the pipe (3) using a metal pipe clamp
(2). Care must be taken to ensure that there is a good temperature change response and that the sensor is
insulated after the mounting.

The ideal position of the sensor is 45° below the horizontal axis / hand position 4:30 pm for an
analogue clock.
Danger of incorrect temperature measurements!Asageneralrule,plasticcabletiesmustnotbe
used as they loosen over time resulting in incorrect temperature measurements which can have a
negative effect on the superheat control.
