5.7.19 Emergency Op.
In the event of a failure of the temperature measurement, i.e. the superheat regulation, refrigeration continues
to operate at an emergency opening degree. This emergency opening degree is calculated from the average
value of the opening degree of the last day (24 hours) and has an upper limit defined by a configurable
parameter.
Parameter Not-Öffnungsgrad
AnupperlimitfortheemergencyopeningdegreeissetviatheparameterMax. Not-Öffnungsgrad(menu
6-2-7).
The parameter Max. Not-Öffnungsgrad also applies when it has not been possible to calculate a 24 hour
value for the opening degree, for example following a first start.
Failure of case and room temperature control
If both sensors for case and room temperature control fail, the emergency opening degree is used for
further control. The superheat controller remains active and can reduce the emergency opening degree
limit.
Failure of the superheat control
If the superheat control fails, the system switches to emergency operation and outputs the emergency
opening degree. The temperature controller remains active and can also reduce the emergency opening
degree limit.

ATTENTION
Compressor damage!
Danger from liquid refrigerant on the suction side of the compressor! The issued emergency
opening degree may be too high for the current operating point as the superheat controller is not
active. Therefore, there is the risk of flooding of the evaporator! Emergency operation should therefore
only be active for a short bridging period.
In the event of failure of one of the two sensors, regulation is performed with the remaining sensor
without switching to emergency operation.
