5.7.16 Run time limitation / continuous run monitoring of the regulation
All controller types except UK 100 E and KR 160 E
Mainly for multidecks, there are negative effects if the case goes into continuous running, e.g. in the case of
difficult environmental conditions. The consequence is icing-up of the evaporator with reduced air curtain
cooling. The running time limitation automatically inserts forcibly actuated shutdowns of the cooling to prevent
icing.
The duration of these forcibly actuated shutdowns can be adjusted (menu 6-3). The start of the forcibly
actuated shutdown is permanently defined. The forcibly actuated shutdown always takes place 1.5 hours after
start of the defrost and every hour afterwards.
The running time monitoring can be activated for all controller types. Under certain circumstances it can also be
used to force the otherwise continuously regulating E-valves to be switched off regularly if this is required by a
refrigerated case, the products or the E-valve (keyword "zeroing the valve").
If the forcibly actuated shutdown is active, the shutdown will already be ended before expiry of the
specifieddurationifthesupplyairsensorhasexperiencedheatingof4K.
Note: If the coding switch 8 of DIP switch S3 is set to ON, the forcibly actuated shutdown without
boundary conditions always takes place 1.5 hours after the start of defrosting and after each additional
hour has elapsed.
