6.4.8 Orifice/Sintered Filter Replacement
In the situation where the instrument’s orifice or sintered filter need to be inspected or replaced the
following procedure should be followed.
Equipment Required
• Orifice/Sintered Filter Extraction Tool (H010046)
• Spanner 5/8”
• Teflon Tape
Procedure
1. Turn OFF the vacuum source and allow the instrument to return to ambient.
2. Turn OFF the instrument.
3. Remove the Kynar nut from the elbow fitting on the top of the lamp end of the optical bench.
4. Remove the two screws retaining the cover collet and the two screws retaining the lamp mounting
block.

5. Slowly move side to side and pull the lamp block away from the measurement cell (glass) removing
it completely.
