5. Enter text in the field for Preset Name (which appears in the Layout Presets panel).
6. Enter text in the fields for Summary and Description (which appear in various
places within these embedded Web pages) to provide information about the selected
layout preset.
7. Select or deselect the Lock Aspect Ratio check box (
7
) for channel A and for
channel B to enable or disable aspect ratio locking. If the aspect ratio is locked, the
window for that channel retains its aspect ratio.
8. Set the horizontal position and size and vertical position and size (in pixels) (
8
) for the
window for each channel by typing numbers in the corresponding fields or click the Up
and Down arrows to change the values. If you select Lock Aspect Ratio (
7
) in the
previous step, changes to either position or size automatically affect the other position
or size respectively.
An example of the layout appears below these fields for reference.
NOTE: The configured sizes are tied to the archive encoding. The entire layout is
scaled for the confidence encoding which may not preserve the aspect ratio.
9. If desired, select a file from the Background Image drop-down list (
9
) to include a
background image behind the channel A and B windows instead of a plain black field.
NOTE: If only the default background file appears in the drop-down list, use the File
Upload utility in the File Management Web page (see File Management on
page129) to upload a .PNG file to the backgrounds folder within the SMP351 .
Background files must be in the .PNG format only, and they must be stored within
the backgrounds folder or they will not be recognized and accessed by layouts.
To use a plain black field instead of an image, select None.
NOTE: The SMP351 front panel menus and controls allow you to select "no
background", which provides a black background instead of an image.
10. Set the location where metadata elements appear in the layout. Choose an option from
the Metadata Location: drop-down list in the Metadata Elements panel.
11. In the Layout Presets panel, select (click on) an unassigned preset in the list
and click Save Preset. The Preset Name field is now editable and changes from
"[unassigned]" (left panel in the figure below) to "PIP PRESETnn," (right panel in the
figure on the next page) the default name for that preset number.
