For example, "on" could be replaced by "press" or "start", and "off" could
be replaced by "release" or "stop" if that port is connected to a push-button
control.
NOTE: The current state of each port is indicated by an LED icon in the Status
column for your reference. A green icon indicates that the port is on, a black icon
indicates the port is off.
3. Click Apply to save the port settings.
4. If you want to create condition monitors for these ports, proceed to the instructions

Monitoring the Digital I/O Ports and Other Conditions
A monitor consists of a set of 1 to 3 conditions that must be met at the same time and 1 to
3 actions that the unit takes when all the listed conditions are met. Conditions include states
of each I/O port, the recording mode, various mute states, and system alarms. Actions the
unit can take when the conditions are met include changing the output port state, changing
the recording mode, muting and unmuting audio or video, changing inputs, swapping video
channels, and inserting chapter markers.
You can create up to a total of 16 monitors. For each condition, such as a single I/O port,
create different monitors for each state (such as On or Off). If you assign multiple states of
the same condition to a single monitor, the states conflict and the monitor will not work as
desired. The best practice is to create one monitor per state. For example:
Monitor 1 conditions: Digital I/O 2 = On
Monitor 1 actions: Record Mode = Record, A/V Mute = Off
Monitor 2 conditions: Digital I/O 2 = Off.
Monitor 2 actions: Record Mode = Stop
