Alarms and Traps
In the Alarms and Traps page within Configuration, a user with administrator
privileges can configure e-mail account and communication settings to allow the unit to
send notification e-mails. This is also the location for selecting whether to log, display a
message about, or send an email about various conditions and errors experienced by the
SMP351.
Alarm levels can be set via this page. They cannot be set via the front panel.
To open this page, click the Configuration tab at the top of the SMP351 embedded
Web pages and then click the Alarms and Traps tab on the second tier of tabs.

Alarm notification e-mail settings
In order to send selected alarms notifications to a recipient, designate the originating e-mail
address, the email address of the recipient, the address of the mail server the SMP351
uses, and other settings within the Alarm Notifier Destinations panel.
To configure the e-mail settings:
1. In the Alarm Notifier Destinations pane, enter a valid email address into the
"From" User ID: field to specify the e-mail address the SMP351 uses to send
notifications.
2. Specify the e-mail address of the person who receives notifications by typing a valid
email address into the "To" User ID: field.
