Mirroring mode

Mirroring mode requires 4, 6 or 12 memory modules per CPU.

The DIMM population will exactly be identical for the mirrored channels.

As a result of the mirroring, the total physical memory available to the
system is half of what is populated.

Mirroring Mode must be populated identically with regards to size and
organization.

DIMM slot populations within a channel do not have to be identical, but the
same DIMM slot location across mirroring channel.
10.2.3.2 DDR4 DIMM and Optane PMem modules

Optane PMem module population is limited to several patterns.

The same DDR4 DIMM type and capacity are used for each DDR4 and
Optane PMem population.

For App Direct (AD) mode, DDR4 DIMM/Optane PMem module capacity
ratio must be between 1:1, 1:2 and 1:4.

For App Direct (AD) mode, Optane PMem modules must be populated
symmetrically across sockets.
