CPU population requirements
CPU1 and CPU2 must be populated first as minimum CPU population rule.
All CPUs must be of the same type.
All CPUs MUST operate at the same Intel
®
Ultra Path Interconnect
frequency and core frequency.
Mixing CPUs with different core count is not supportedsupported, e.g.
mixing 8-core and 6-core.
Mixing CPUs with different shared cache size is not supported, e.g. mixing
20 Mbyte and 15 Mbyte.
Mixing CPUs with different power class is not supported, e.g. mixing 135-
watt and 95-watt.
Mixing CPUs of different stepping is not supported.
