Resetting the boot retry counter using iRMC S5 web interface

Log in to the iRMC S5 web interface.
â–¶
Select the Settings menu.
â–¶
Select the Server Management menu.
â–¶
The following boot retry counter settings are available under Automatic
System Recovery & Restart (ASR&R):

Under Retry counter max specify the maximum number of attempts to
boot the OS (0 to 7).
â–¶
Under Retry counter the current number of remaining boot attempts is
displayed. Overwrite this value with the maximum number of boot
attempts specified above in order to reset the boot retry counter
.

Click Apply
for the changes to take effect.

5.3.6 Resetting the error status after replacing memory
modules or CPU
5.3.6.1 Resetting the error status after replacing CPUs
In case of a CPU error
, an error counter may be set for the defective CPU.
Important note
After replacing a defective CPU, please check if the error counter has
been reset automatically. If the CPU is still marked as failed, please
reset the error counter manually using one of the methods below
.
Using ServerView Maintenance Tools (Windows only)

Launch the ServerView Maintenance T
ools:
Start > Apps > Fujitsu > Maintenance Tools

Choose the CPU status tab.
â–¶
Select the CPU which shows the pre-failure status.
