8-2-4-5-1 Keycap Removal Procedure
NOTE: Replacement Keycaps for the Vivid i n/ Vivid q N system are supplied as part of the Keycap Kit - Part
No. S2423359. (For Scandinavian countries, Part No. 2420372-1).
1) Carefully place a small flat screw driver between the keycap you wish to remove and its neighboring
keycap.
2) Use the screw driver to gently lever off the defective keycap, until it is completely loosened from its
base (see Figure 8-16 below).
3.) Lift off and remove the defective keycap.
8-2-4-5-2 Keycap Installation Procedure
1) Carefully place the appropriate new keycap in position on the keyboard, taking care to place the
plastic alignment pin in the correct position so that the keycap is the right way up and reads
correctly.
2) Gently push the keycap down until it snaps into position.
