8-3-8-5 LCD Display Installation Procedure
NOTE: When performing the following installation procedure steps, it may be helpful to review the appropriate
movie clips previously referenced in the LCD Display Removal Procedure.
1) Using both hands, carefully lift the replacement LCD Display into position on the Rear Cover &
Latch Assembly (refer to Figure 8-64).
Take care not to damage the LEC Flex ribbon cable when performing this step.
2) Use both hands to re-connect the LCD Flex ribbon cable to the BEP - refer to Figure 8-63 on
page 8-53.
3) Return and fasten the four screws to secure the LCD Display to the Rear Cover & Latch Assembly
(refer to Figure 8-62 on page 8-53).
4) Return the LCD Display Frame, as described in the LCD Display Frame Installation Procedure on
page 8 - 28.
5) Check that the LCD Display can be tilted upwards and downwards, and that it holds its set position.
6) Return the Control Panel and Keyboard as described in the Control Panel and Keyboard Installation
Procedure on page 8 - 11.
7) Return the bearing handle as described in the Bearing Handle Installation Procedure on page 8 - 4.
8) Boot-up the system into Maintenance Mode.
