3.3 Connecting to your Computer
An interface cable is used to connect the plotter to a computer. The plotter can be
connected to a computer via the USB or serial (RS-232C) port. Select which port
to use according to the requirements of your application software and/or which of
your computer's interface ports are available for use.
Use a USB cable or serial cable in accordance with the connection method cho-
sen. Obtain a Graphtec-approved interface cable that is compatible with the inter-
face port.
1 Make sure the power switch is turned off (the " " side is pressed down).
2 Connect one end of the cable to the FC7000 and the other end to the computer
port.
